ABOUT QUICK BEAM PHOTOS

Quick Beam Photos was established in 2024. However, the company has experience reaching far beyond this. The owner and lead photographer Ivey Smith has worked in the digital media industry since 2017. She started as a photo editor at a photography studio when she was in college. Her knowledge of Photoshop and digital programs opened the door to the world of photography. Over time she learned the fundamentals and real-life experience of a working photographer. From there she was promoted to Lead Graphic Designer, Print Shop Manager, and Assistant Photographer. In 2020 it was time for Ivey to look elsewhere. She worked as a traveling photographer and on-staff photographer while picking up a few solo gigs of her own. Eventually landing back into design and digital marketing where she learned the needs of small and start-up businesses. Ivey has worked extensively on perfecting the craft of capturing great photos since 2017. Her knowledge of marketing, 7 years of digital imaging experience, and love for the arts have led her to open Quick Beam Photos where she strives to provide speedy services with light gear to jumpstart your digital presence.

Using a selfie for your headshot might seem convenient, but it doesn’t capture the professionalism and quality that a professionally taken headshot provides. Your business might appear fake, or suspicious if a potential client recognizes your AI-generated headshot for what it is. In this day and age of technology, nothing is more important than proving the legitimacy of your company. Right now, most business is conducted digitally, in order to foster a sense of trust a real photograph of you is essential.

What Extra Editing Options Are Available?

We offer various levels of editing for your headshot or portrait sessions. Automatically Quick Beam Photos will omit glaring blemishes and flaws such as stains and flyaways so you feel your best while reviewing your photos.

Each package comes with "special edits" that can be made to a set number of images. These edits can include:

Removing blemishes such as pimples, scars, and makeup errors.

Smoothing wrinkles of various intensity.

Adjusting and fixing wardrobe mishaps such as stains, straps showing, distracting wrinkles, sheer clothing, pet hair, lint etc.

Smoothing and removing frizz within reason, and stray hairs.

Whitening teeth and removing dental stains.

And anything else you would like!

We do however exert caution around edits to bodies and facial structures as this defeats the purpose of a portrait--to show off your beautiful features! We understand some clients may not feel comfortable with their natural appearance and we would never assume what a client is insecure about. Please be as specific as possible with your photographer and editor about the edits you would like to see. We want you to love your photos!

What Should I Expect at My Headshot Session?

After the consultation and scheduling you'll probably wonder what you're about to walk into. Typically on the day of the session we will meet up at the agreed location. This could be your place of business, work, or a scenic / public space with which to use as a backdrop. Your photographer will set up their equipment accordingly. A short discussion of expectations will occur between the photographer and client and any last-minute primping and adjustments will be made by the client.

While photographing, the photographer will direct and instruct the client on posing and positioning. If a client needs to pause the session for an emergency or bathroom break this is completely fine. We want you to feel comfortable at your session!

The client is expected to bring any props, touch-up equipment and products, and extra clothing they would like to be photographed in. Quick Beam Photos does not provide this.

After the session is complete (usually an hour) the photographer will pack up their gear, process payment, and begin the second half of the process: editing. This process takes about a day or two depending on the number of photos taken and the agreement between client and the photographer. After editing is complete your photographer will send the secure drop box link to the email you provided and you may begin your review. A set number of photos can be selected for "special edits'' and the client and photographer will discuss the edits needed. After all edits are complete the transaction is finished and you are the new owner of some fresh headshots or portraits! After payment of your session, you own all the images provided by Quick Beam Photos and may use, edit, copy, and distribute the images provided as you see fit. Don't forget to leave a review on our social media, and tag us in your posts!

If I Want My Photos Printed, Who Should I Talk To?

Quick Beam Photos in Villa Rica does not offer print options at this time. Nor do we partner with any printing companies. We offer your entire photo sessions digital copies within your package. You own the rights to your photos and may duplicate, edit and use the images we provide however you like.
If your printer requires specific file adjustments we are happy to work with them to produce the best quality print of our work possible.

Some photographers only give a set number of digital image usage rights within their packages so that you have to pay extra for physical copies, furthering their bottom line-Your money. Quick Beam Photos believes a photo of you belongs to you.

We will never hold the usage rights of your photos against you. After payment of your session all images taken at your session belong to you. We hold the right to delete and omit photos that we deem low quality, accidental, or fail to meet Quick Beam Photos quality specifications. We do however reserve the right to use your images in our portfolios and marketing materials within reason.

Does Quick Beam Photos Photograph Weddings?

NO.

But seriously-we're happy for you and your partner! Quick Beam Photos specializes in portrait and headshot photography for business professionals and companies. While we have a bit of room to wiggle that definition we do not have the staff nor the resources to do your big day justice.
